Democracy

Democracy is a word that while in common use has suffered thoroughly, loss of meaning. In elementary school I learned Democracy was a voting process. This notion was instilled by the statement "This is not a Democracy..." proclaimed by my then teacher in reference to disregarding the classes consensus.
